A board with Easy Cheesy Party Snackson top of baking paper.

I recently had a get together with some friends and their kids.  It was a good-sized group and I wanted to make food I could make ahead so I could enjoy time with my guests.

These simple cheesy snacks are perfect for fussy kids and ready in just over 30 minutes, they are great for packing lunches and picnics too! I used my own pie crust for this, but you can use store bought.  For more details on making your own, see my post on how to make pie crust,

Why This Recipe Works

  • Using only two ingredients this recipe is quick simple and a no brainer when entertaining.
  • Cheddar cheese is a great choice making the party snacks appealing to all tastes and preferences.
  • Homemade is always better than store bought, guaranteed!

How To Make Cheesy Party Snacks

  1. Cut ready rolled pastry into circles with a cookie cutter.
  2. Place the pastry circles into a cupcake pan.
  3. Top with shredded cheese.
  4. Bake for 20 mintues.
  5. Serve and enjoy!

Step By Step Instructions

Roll out the pastry and cut into circles.

Top the pastry rounds with grated cheese.

Bake in the oven for around 20 minutes until crispy.

the baked cheese snacks still in the pan

I left the dough in the bottom without spreading it into a tart because I wanted the cheese to form a crispy crust around the top.  It worked like a charm!

Allow to cool, serve and enjoy!

No, to storw them, place them into an airtight container or plastic storage bag and store them at room temperature to keep them crispy. If using a storage bag, remove as much air as possible from the bag.
