6) Comments
When visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the form, plus the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent to help with spam detection. If you opt in, we’ll save your name/email/website in cookies for convenience (one year). Your Gravatar image may display after approval of your comment. 7) Email Marketing (Kit / ConvertKit)
We use Kit (formerly ConvertKit) to manage our newsletter. If you subscribe, we collect your email address and, if provided, your name, to send newsletters and updates. Emails may include tracking pixels that report opens and link clicks so we can improve content. You can unsubscribe anytime via the link in our emails. If you are in the EEA/UK, we rely on consent for marketing emails.
8) Hotjar
We use Hotjar to better understand user behavior (e.g., time on page, clicks, scrolls) and improve the Site. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect device and usage data (e.g., anonymized IP, device type, browser, country). 9) Cloudflare
We use Cloudflare for security and caching. Any personal information obtained by Cloudflare is not shared with third parties and is governed by Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
10) Sponsored Content & Tracking Pixels
We may publish sponsored content in partnership with brands or agencies. Campaigns may include tracking pixels (web beacons) to measure engagement and performance. We do not share personally identifiable information with sponsors in connection with these pixels.
11) Affiliate Program Participation
We may use affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link, a cookie may track sales for commission purposes.

Erren’s Kitchen, LLC participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com. 14) Verifying & Appealing Requests
To protect your privacy, we will verify your identity (e.g., by matching information we hold or contacting you at the email on file). Authorized agents may submit requests with proof of authorization. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision email; we will review and respond within the time required by applicable law.
15) Data Retention
- Newsletter data (email/name): retained until you unsubscribe or after 24 months of inactivity, whichever occurs first.
- Analytics/advertising identifiers: retained per provider defaults and legal obligations.
- Comments/account data: retained while published/active and as needed for security, legal, and fraud-prevention.
We delete or de-identify data when no longer needed for the purposes described.
16) Children’s Information
This Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If a parent or guardian believes we have such information, please contact us at chiefcook@errenskitchen.com and we will promptly delete it.
17) Sale or Transfer of Business
If the Site or substantially all of its assets is sold, merged, reorganized, or otherwise transferred, information we have collected may be among the assets transferred, consistent with this Privacy Policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most recent version will always be posted on the Site with the “Last Updated” date.
