It’s been a better week this week. I feel really positive. After meeting with my physical therapist last week, I get that due to my illness, flare-ups after workouts will be a part of the process. I’m accepting that and the personal trainer I hired is understanding and has agreed to be flexible (the gym requires that you cancel no later than 24 hours before a session or you will have to pay for the missed session, but he gave me his phone number to cancel through him without penalty). My first session this week had to be canceled because of yet another pinched nerve in my back and he was great about it. That night I swam for 45 minutes and really enjoyed it so I’ll swim with my son twice a week. I have only been to the gym twice this week (due to my body not cooperating), but I feel good about what I have been able to do. I’m not taking it as a blow. I’m taking it as a minor setback that is just a part of the process. The good news – I can take off my jeans without undoing them! woo-hoo!
I have chosen a diet plan, and am hoping to share the details with you real soon. I’m also hoping to share recipes that will show you how very flexible the plan is, but need to touch base with them before I do.
Next week will be one month of sharing my journey with you (although I actually started the week before) and that will be my last weekly post I share with you. After that I will switch to monthly updates so I don’t bore you with every little detail. If you’d rather I continue with weekly, please comment below and I’ll see if I need to re-evaluate my plans.
